Please note that this appointment will be made in line with company’s employment equity policy and divisional employment equity targets Job Purpose: A sales-driven role responsible for promoting, selling and growing the company's hospital portfolio: Large Volume Parenterals (IV fluids, irrigation solutions) and Small Volume Parenterals (IV antimicrobials, antihypertensives, minerals and diluents). The role prioritizes commercial results, driving product utilization through commercial discussions and building and maintaining strategic relationships with hospital pharmacies, procurement and management, while maintaining full regulatory and ethical compliance. Main Tasks / Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development • Achieve and exceed territory sales and market share objectives • Develop and execute strategic territory plans; identify new business opportunities across public and private hospitals. • Increase product penetration within existing accounts while actively securing new customers; monitor utilization and drive initiatives to increase demand. Key Account & Tender Management • Build strong relationships with hospital pharmacists and procurement personnel as well as support formulary applications. • Ensure product availability through effective collaboration with distributors and internal supply chain. • Develop strategic account plans for major hospitals and hospital groups; identify key decision-makers and influencers within each institution. Conduct performance reviews with key decision makers. • Identify tender opportunities and manage contract implementation; monitor compliance and performance post-award. • Coordinate across pharmacies, procurement, nursing and clinical departments to maximize product adoption and contract success. Territory Management & Market Intelligence • Plan and prioritize customer visits to optimize territory coverage; maintain accurate CRM records; analyze performance and act on corrective plans. • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, tenders and market trends; feed insights into Marketing and Sales; recommend competitive strategies. Customer Education & Compliance • Conduct educational sessions and in-service training for pharmacists, nursing and hospital personnel where applicable to support product implementation. • Conduct all activities per company policy, industry codes and healthcare regulations; complete administrative reporting accurately and on time.
