The Opportunity

• As a Product Designer at Accenture South Africa, you'll lead multidisciplinary initiatives that bring user needs, business goals and technological possibility into the same room.
• This role goes well beyond UX and UI execution. It spans product strategy, scalable design practice, and AI-driven innovation. You'll guide design teams, shape client relationships, and position design as a catalyst for measurable business outcomes — not a service function downstream of the decisions.
• The role demands foresight: creating sustainable, tangible solutions that can be tested, validated, and embedded seamlessly into people's daily lives, delivering both immediate impact and long-term value.

What You'll Do

Design Leadership & Delivery

• Oversee multidisciplinary design teams
• Manage delivery across multiple projects or platforms
• Hold the quality bar at both craft and systems level

Strategy & Vision

• Influence product roadmaps
• Define scalable design practices
• Embed human-centered design across the way teams work

Stakeholder & Client Engagement

• Shape and grow client relationships
• Ensure design aligns to business goals and delivers measurable value
• Make the case for design in commercial terms senior stakeholders act on

Systems & Innovation

• Implement governance models and design operations
• Build AI-enabled workflows into how the team designs and delivers
• Create solutions that can be tested, validated, and scaled

Team Development & Culture

• Coach and develop designers
• Help teams balance strategic thinking with executional excellence
• Build a culture where people are challenged and keep growing

Qualification

What You'll Bring

Experience & Qualifications

• 6+ years in UX, UI and product design — ideally in consultancy or digital product environments
• Tertiary qualification in Design, HCI, or a related field
• Strong portfolio demonstrating both craft-level design and systems-level thinking

Tools & Technical Knowledge

• Strong expertise in Figma, prototyping software, and the MS Office suite
• Knowledge of AI-assisted design technologies
• Comprehensive understanding of branding, marketing, data, social media, business analysis, and development

Leadership & Ways of Working

• Proven ability to lead teams, scale systematic design practices, and embed efficient workflows
• Excellent facilitation, storytelling, and influencing skills for senior stakeholders
• Ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain organisational efficiency
• Empathetic, collaborative, proactive and positive mindset, with a willingness to be challenged and continuously grow
