The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge and practical experience in sourcing and ordering construction materials, preferably with exposure to BuildSmart systems. A background in storeroom management and procurement within the building industry will be highly advantageous.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years relevant experience in procurement or materials management
- Strong knowledge of construction materials procurement processes
- Experience working with BuildSmart
- Background in storeroom management is highly beneficial
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Willingness to work every second Saturday
- Must be immediately available
- Residing in Bloemfontein
Responsibilities
- Obtain competitive prices and source building materials
- Place and manage orders via BuildSmart procurement system
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Oversee storeroom operations and monitor stock levels
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and industry standards
- Manage procurement costs and maintain budget control
- Support project teams by ensuring materials are available on time
