Procurement Business Analyst

Introduction

The Senior Procurement Business Analyst supports the Fit2Win Program by providing analytical, commercial, and strategic procurement support across IT and Telecommunications Network categories . The role focuses on spend analytics, strategic sourcing, commercial/financial analysis, contract optimisation, cost reduction, supplier performance, business cases, and procurement governance . It acts as the interface between Procurement, IT, Network Engineering, Finance, Legal, and suppliers

Duties & Responsibilities

• Analyse IT and Network procurement spend and develop category dashboards and spend visibility reports.

• Identify cost optimisation, consolidation, and supplier rationalisation opportunities.

• Conduct demand analysis and forecast future procurement requirements.

• Assess supplier spend concentration, dependency, and procurement risks.

• Track procurement savings and benefits realisation .

• Support IT and Network project management initiatives.

• Develop sourcing strategies for IT and Network categories.

• Perform TCO analysis , commercial model evaluation, pricing analysis, supplier comparisons, and bid evaluations.

• Provide fact-based analysis to support supplier negotiations.

• Prepare sourcing strategy documents, commercial comparison models, savings calculations, and executive recommendations.

• Provide detailed 80/20 spend analysis .

• Develop procurement business cases and perform cost-benefit and investment analysis .

• Conduct benchmarking and validate supplier pricing models.

• Analyse contract spend against budgets and support budget planning.

• Perform NPV, ROI, Payback Period, TCO, benchmark pricing, scenario planning, and inflation impact analysis .

• Review commercial terms and pricing schedules and track contract milestones and renewals.

• Analyse contract utilisation and identify contract optimisation opportunities.

• Support contract renegotiations and maintain contract databases.

• Work across software licensing, managed services, network equipment, maintenance, cloud

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Strong experience in Procurement Business Analysis within IT and/or Telecommunications.

• IT and Network procurement / sourcing experience.

• Spend analytics and category intelligence .

• Strategic sourcing and supplier evaluation.

• TCO and commercial modelling .

• Business case and financial analysis.

• Contract management and contract optimisation.

• Cost reduction and savings initiatives.

• Supplier performance and relationship management.

• Budget versus actual spend analysis.

• Stakeholder management across Procurement, IT, Network, Finance, Legal, Risk and suppliers .

• Strong analytical, commercial, negotiation-support, reporting, and presentation skills.

• Experience working with senior stakeholders and presenting executive-level procurement recommendations .
