Duties

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative testing of materials using laboratory equipment .
  • Perform routine laboratory analyses and accurately document test results.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and verify laboratory equipment and facilities.
  • Implement quality control measures and ensure compliance with laboratory standards and ISO requirements.
  • Support laboratory safety, environmental, and compliance requirements.
  • Liaise with internal customers, suppliers, and accredited laboratories regarding material quality and testing requirements .

Minimum Requirements

  • National Diploma in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in chemical analysis, laboratory testing, and data interpretation.
  • Sound knowledge and working experience with microscopy and other instruments used for analysis i.e. FTIR, GC, ICP, etc.
  • Sound knowledge of laboratory protocols, testing standards, and quality systems.
  • Experience in laboratory testing, data analysis, and quality control processes.
  • Automotive industry experience will be advantageous.

  • Knowledge of laboratory testing methods and quality control principles.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and solve technical problems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and laboratory reporting systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement
