Introduction

South Ocean Electric Wire Company is seeking a results-driven and innovative Process Engineers to join our Maintenance and Process Engineering team. If you are passionate about continuous improvement, manufacturing excellence, and process optimisation, we invite you to apply.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyse manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Compile, analyse and present Cpk/statistics and performance metrics.
  • Investigate internal failures and customer complaints to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Support production improvement initiatives across departments.
  • Assist with commissioning new machinery and equipment.
  • Lead process and equipment upgrade projects.
  • Improve material yield, quality, efficiency and machine uptime.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and operating standards.
  • Support new product and process industrialisation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve material, machine and labour utilisation.
  • Provide technical support and process-related training where required.
  • Assist with Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) projects and related documentation.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Minimum Qualification: National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical or metallurgical engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial processing environment, with proven experience in process improvement, problem solving, and production efficiency projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and continuous improvement methodologies will be advantageous.
