Requirements

  • Class II - V Process Controller Classification Certificate issued by the Department of Water and Sanitation DWS in terms of Regulation 3630 of 30 June 2023.
  • Physically fit and able-bodied.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and in all weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's licence.

Process Controller

  • 1-2 years' relevant plant operational experience, of which 2 years must have been an Assistant Process Controller 3.
  • Bulk: Class II-IV Process Controller Classification Certificate
  • Waste: Class III-V Process Controller Classification Certificate

Senior Process Controller

  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant operational experience, of which 2 years must have been a Process Controller.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Bulk: Class III-IV Process Controller Classification Certificate
  • Waste: IV Class B-E Works -V A works Process Controller
  • Classification Certificate

Key Performance Areas

Process Controller

  • Operate and monitor water treatment processes.
  • Monitor plant performance and process efficiency.
  • Conduct routine inspections and quality checks.
  • Perform operational testing and process optimisation.
  • Monitor and report on equipment performance.
  • Execute first-line maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with SHREQ, Blue Drop and quality standards.
  • Maintain operational records and reports.
  • Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain plant housekeeping and safe working practices.

Senior Process Controller

  • Supervise and coordinate water treatment plant operation
  • Lead and monitor process control activities.
  • Supervise plant performance and process optimisation.
  • Coordinate first-line maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with SHREQ, Blue Drop and quality standards.
  • Supervise operational reporting and record management.
  • Provide on-the-job training, coaching and shift leadership.
  • Coordinate communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supervise plant housekeeping and operational readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures SOPs
