- We are seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to provide technical leadership on large-scale mining projects. This is a fixed term contract opportunity based in Johannesburg, with occasional site travel fully covered by the company.
Contract Type: Fixed-term contract 2+ years
Qualifications
- Essential: BSc, BEng, or BTech in Civil Engineering Structural emphasis
- Essential: Trained in leadership and project execution
- Essential: Actively licensed with a local engineering governing body where required by law e.g., ECSA
- Desirable: Training in risk management or quality
Requirements
- 15+ years of relevant structural engineering experience
- Mining project experience mandatory
- EPCM experience mandatory
- Strong background in discipline work and understanding of regulations and codes
- Experience in estimating project costs and writing proposal content
- Based in Johannesburg or willing to relocate
