Requirements

BEng, BSc Engineering, BTech Engineering, or equivalent degree qualification in the Engineering/Built Environment field.
Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr Tech Eng or Pr Eng.
8 to 10 years' relevant experience gained after obtaining the first relevant tertiary qualification.
Extensive experience managing projects ranging from approximately R40 million to R150 million and above.
Proven experience in capital project planning, implementation, contract management and engineering management.
Sound knowledge of: Municipal infrastructure development processes; Project and programme management methodologies; Contract administration and construction management; Environmental and waste management legislation.
Valid driver's license.

Key Performance Areas

Develop and implement infrastructure provision plans.
Lead feasibility studies and infrastructure planning initiatives
Support long-term infrastructure and capital investment planning.
Manage site identification, acquisition, zoning, permitting, and environmental approval processes.
Develop project implementation plans, budgets, cash flows, and schedules.
Prepare project briefs and specifications.
Manage consultant procurement and appointment processes.
Lead the execution and commissioning of capital infrastructure projects.
Monitor construction quality, budget expenditure, timelines, safety, and environmental compliance.
Manage project risks and address implementation challenges.
Contract Management and Advisory Services
Stakeholder Liaison and Engagement
Evaluate innovative technologies and infrastructure solutions from industry stakeholders.
Manage project budgets, cash flows, and capital funding requirements.
Conduct research into industry best practices and emerging technologies
