- Our client, a leading commercial insurance organisation, is seeking an experienced Pricing Manager to lead one of its General Insurance Pricing teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified actuarial professional to shape pricing strategy, provide technical leadership, and work closely with underwriting, product, finance, reinsurance, and executive stakeholders to optimise portfolio performance across commercial, personal, and specialist insurance lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a General Insurance Pricing team, ensuring delivery against business priorities and service level agreements.
- Provide actuarial pricing support and strategic advice to underwriting and business stakeholders.
- Analyse pricing performance, monitor key pricing indicators, and provide recommendations to improve profitability.
- Support portfolio management activities and performance monitoring across multiple insurance lines.
- Lead pricing basis reviews and ensure delivery within agreed project timelines.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance pricing models, monitoring reports, and analytical tools.
- Ensure pricing methodologies, modelling standards, and governance processes align with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with underwriting, reinsurance, finance, claims, capital, reserving, IT, and product teams.
- Manage team performance, mentor actuarial professionals, and support talent development.
- Drive continuous improvement through process optimisation and enhanced data utilisation.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science.
- Significant progress towards actuarial qualification.
- Minimum 4 years' General Insurance pricing experience.
- Experience providing actuarial advice to senior management.
- Proven experience leading projects, managing priorities, and coordinating technical teams.
- Strong understanding of General Insurance pricing methodologies and portfolio management principles.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in actuarial reserving or capital modelling.
- Exposure to portfolio management within commercial, personal, or specialist insurance.
- Experience leading actuarial pricing teams.
- Knowledge of pricing optimisation techniques.
- Strong project planning and resource management experience.
