- To manage New Business quotes and queries, within timelines and to support the profitability of the book. To support the benefit enhancements on the existing book and to provide endorsements for new business that is onboarding.
Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following job functions:
- Risk Assessment & analysis for quotes with <=400 members with an API of less R2 million.
- Processing of Employee benefit quotes - Group Risk & Retirement
- Support the New Business sales team
- Support the Servicing consultants with retaining Existing Business
- Support the renewal team with analysis and quotes
- Processing and issuing quotes within SLA
- Ensure appropriate data is received and that discrepancies are identified and explored.
- Complete in-depth analysis of risk rates and free cover limits for decision making
- Quality Processing and analysis of small scheme profile as per Actuarial Policy
- Risk Assessment and analysis of scheme profile as per SOP
- Conform to SLA agreements with relevant stakeholders
- Provide quality service to BCs and SCs
- Respond to and resolve queries from various stake holders
- Liaise with Reinsurers for facultative quotes on scheme outside our treaties
- ESQS General Report generation
- System Development Testing, in QA and Production
- Run all special projects and Ad-hoc tasks as allocated by the Pricing Manager
- Analyse competitors' pricing strategies and identified
- Make recommendations on rates and areas of improvement.
- Capture quote details for reporting purposes

Education and Experience
- Matric
- A relevant Bachelor of Commerce qualification - Must include Mathematics or Statistics Module at least in the first year of the qualification
- Microsoft Office experience is essential
- Minimum 2 years experience in Group Risk Pricing and data analysis.
- Microsoft Excel at an intermediary level
- A qualification in the insurance industry is advantageous.
- Power BI and Visual Basic skills will be advantageous
- Keen knowledge of the insurance industry. Trends, new developments and other underwriter's objectives Advantageous
