POSITION OVERVIEW
The Power BI Developer (Intermediate) will design, develop, and maintain high-quality Power BI reporting solutions that enable data-driven decision-making for internal stakeholders and/or clients. This role focuses on building robust semantic models, efficient DAX measures, and intuitive dashboards while ensuring strong data governance, performance, and usability.
At an intermediate level, the developer is expected to deliver independently on reporting workstreams, engage confidently with stakeholders to clarify requirements, and apply best practices in Power BI development and data modelling.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 3-5+ years in BI / reporting development roles with strong Power BI focus.
- Demonstrated experience delivering dashboards end-to-end (requirements ? build ? deploy ? support).
- Exposure to stakeholder-facing delivery; consulting experience is advantageous.
Power BI & BI Skills
- Power BI Desktop (visuals, report design, interactivity)
- Power BI Service (workspaces, apps, refresh, permissions, governance features)
- DAX (measures, time intelligence, context, performance considerations)
- Power Query (M) (data shaping, query folding awareness)
- Strong understanding of data modelling (star schema, relationships, measures vs columns, hierarchies).
Data Skills
- Solid SQL ability (joins, aggregations, window functions beneficial).
- Comfort working with multiple data sources and large datasets.
- Understanding of data quality, definitions, and reconciliation approaches.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer will design, build, and operationalise modern data solutions on Microsoft Fabric to enable analytics, BI, and AI use cases. Working within the Data & AI practice, this role is responsible for developing robust ingestion and transformation pipelines, implementing dimensional and/or lakehouse models, and ensuring high data quality, governance, and performance across the end-to-end data lifecycle.
The role includes leading components of delivery, mentoring engineers/analysts, and partnering with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable Fabric solutions aligned to enterprise standards.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 4-8+ years in data engineering / analytics engineering roles.
- Demonstrated delivery experience building modern data platforms (cloud-based), ideally with Microsoft stack exposure.
- Experience supporting multiple consumers (BI, analytics, AI) in a governed environment.
Microsoft Fabric / Azure / Data Engineering Skills
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, notebooks, pipelines/orchestration).
- Strong SQL skills (complex transformations, performance tuning, modelling).
- Working knowledge of Spark and PySpark for transformation at scale.
- Experience with ingestion patterns from relational sources, APIs, files, and event/stream sources (where relevant).
- Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystem components is beneficial: ADLS Gen2, Azure
