- As a Portfolio Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of sectional title and homeowners' association schemes, acting as the primary advisor to trustees while ensuring each scheme is professionally managed.
- Supported by dedicated Legal, Finance, Maintenance, Procurement, Insurance and HR teams, you'll be able to focus on strategic portfolio management rather than day-to-day administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of Sectional Title and Homeowners' Association schemes
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with trustees, owners and key stakeholders
- Prepare for and attend trustee meetings and Annual General Meetings approximately 70% during office hours
- Prepare, review and distribute AGM and trustee meeting documentation
- Ensure trustee resolutions and action items are implemented accurately and within agreed timeframes
- Coordinate maintenance matters and service providers in collaboration with internal support departments
- Oversee Body Corporate and HOA staff together with trustees
- Assist with budgeting, financial planning and budget variance management alongside the Finance team
- Interpret Annual Financial Statements and provide guidance to trustees where required
- Manage Conduct and Management Rules, including CSOS submissions
- Ensure compliance with the Sectional Titles Schemes Management Act, CSOS legislation and other applicable regulations
- Deliver exceptional client service while proactively identifying opportunities to improve scheme performance
Requirements
Qualifications Advantageous
- Degree in Property Studies, BCom or similar qualification
- Paddocks or other recognised Sectional Title / HOA qualification
Experience & Knowledge
- Proven experience as a Sectional Title Portfolio Manager
- Experience managing multiple residential schemes simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of sectional title legislation and governance
- Experience facilitating trustee meetings and Annual General Meetings
- Sound financial understanding, including budgets and Annual Financial Statements
- Experience working with trustees, contractors and managing agents
- Previous senior portfolio management experience will be advantageous
