- Assist the Technical Department with daily plumbing maintenance activities under supervision.
- Gain practical experience in the installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of plumbing, water supply and drainage systems.
- Assist with routine inspections, preventative maintenance, fault identification and basic plumbing repairs under supervision.
- Assist with identifying and addressing leaks, blockages, faulty fittings and other plumbing-related issues.
- Assist with the maintenance of water reticulation systems, including water storage tanks, pipes, valves and associated equipment.
- Assist with the safe handling and maintenance of plumbing tools, equipment and materials.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, practical training and workplace experience.
- Adhere to occupational health and safety requirements, company policies and procedures.
- Support general maintenance activities and departmental tasks as required.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Proof of completion of an N6 Qualification in Plumbing obtained through a recognised TVET College
- Basic knowledge and understanding of plumbing systems, water supply, drainage and maintenance
- Basic knowledge of plumbing tools, equipment and materials
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
- Willingness to learn and develop practical technical skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
