- IVANPLATS Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this "mine of the future". Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the Platreef Concentrator.
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
- Grade 12.
- Valid South African Driving License.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet
- Valid medical certificate or be medically fit to obtain such a certificate.
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience
- Minimum Five 5 years' experience in a PGM production plant.
- A minimum of Five 5 years of operational experience as a Plant Operator is essential.
- Proven operational experience in PGM plant crushing, Milling, flotation, reagents and filtration.
- Be prepared to work shifts
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
- Work shift cycle.
- Monitor and adjust plant parameters to ensure shift targets are achieved.
- Maintain a reliable reporting and communication system that is in place.
- Take corrective actions accordingly and eliminate deviations in the processing plant that may influence production or safety.
- Ensure all team members adhere to work schedules.
- Perform general housekeeping.
- Conduct area inspections and audits.
- Adhere to SHE and OHS principles.
- Ensure compliance with all HR policies, procedures, and standards.
- Apply the Ivanplats principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for your safety and that of others to ensure zero harm and the elimination of fatalities and loss-time injuries in accordance with the Ivanplats Standards and Mine Health and Safety Act.
