• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the water treatment plant. • Lead, manage and support the plant operations team. • Coordinate and oversee plant maintenance activities. • Manage stock levels, chemical requirements and chemical ordering. • Coordinate supplier deliveries and related site requirements. • Manage invoices, operational expenditure and site costs. • Apply sound technical knowledge of water treatment processes , including Reverse Osmosis and membrane technology , to plant operations. • Monitor plant performance and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and operational performance. • Prepare comprehensive operational and performance reports. • Manage contractual obligations and ensure compliance with agreed contractual terms. • Manage and maintain site Health & Safety standards and requirements. • Ensure compliance with applicable operational processes, regulations and safety standards. • Manage budgets, resources and operational planning. • Maintain strong professional relationships with the client and relevant stakeholders. • Ensure effective management of a plant operating on a 24/7 basis . Minimum Requirements
- Engineering Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering; OR
- Postgraduate qualification in Environmental Science .
- Minimum 7 years' experience in water treatment operations .
- At least 3 years' management experience .
- Proven experience managing a 24/7 water treatment operation .
- Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, regulations and safety standards.
- Sound technical understanding of Reverse Osmosis and membrane technology .
- Proven experience in contract management .
- Proven experience in financial and cost management .
- Strong understanding of management principles, including:
- Planning
- Budgeting
- Resource management
• Own reliable vehicle. • Valid driver's license.
