MAIN PURPOSE: The job holder acts as the business partner functioning as the link between the plants and the financial management team as well as business. Responsible for plant level accounts, cost controlling, inventory management, eMis reporting, cost analysis and system audits and support to the Finance team as needed. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Interact with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Planning and Finance to advise and assist on cost and plant accounting policies and procedures as and when required Verify that transactions are recorded accurately and within the desired timeframe - adherence to internal procedures and cut off times and dates Assist the Accounting team in ensuring correct cost allocations in the General Ledger Assist site Operations and Supply Chain with stock counts and advise on capturing system transactions Assist the Operations team in monitoring its costs against their budget Assist with material consumption verification and checks on a regular basis Liaise with Operations, Planning and Supply Chain on Bill Of Material's (“BOM”) to ensure accurate and review as required Analyse margin tolerance % and notify or make recommendations on specific alerts. Month End Reporting including the preparation of plant accounts and presentations. Site cost analysis in support of Finance and/or Operations and/or Commercial. Inventory management and support (cycle counts, write, offs, reconciliations, BOM, variance analysis, Audit, consumption reporting) Prepare, Control and Analyse annual site budgets - liaising with various departments. Prepare and Analyse annual Actual and Budget Costing schedules and maintain work centre costs. Performs stock revaluations based on costing schedules. Ensures that the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports as required by local and corporate management are completed efficiently and accurately. Partners with Commercial Controller to ensure costs are recovered from customers. Partners with CTO controller. Provides the Controlling Manager with insights into key performance indicators to explain cost deviations against budget. Ensures that plants are following internal control policies and procedures. Development of internal controls together with Controlling Manager and relevant business units in accordance with best practices. Managing the relationship between Operations and Finance to ensure all month end closing entries have been posted and are correctly allocated in the designated ERP. Monitoring of masterdata. Based on the Business Process Management (BPM) processes the job holder is responsible for: S6 (Assure product conformity) S6.3 Responsible to comply with all Hygiene requirements in the plant. S6.2 Support complaint handling by reporting all identified non-conformities and support in the implementation of effective corrective actions determined by the process owner, when needed. S10 (Ensure occupational health, safety and environment) Ensure that HSE compliance in own area of responsibility. Report any incident or unsafe conditions seen in the plant/ work area.
