Duties
- Provide technical support to Production to develop and establish efficient manufacturing processes.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost performance.
- Coordinate and facilitate improvement workshops e.g. value stream mapping, efficiency workshops.
- Establish and optimise production processes, including tooling, layouts, and equipment.
- Resolve production and process-related issues impacting quality or output.
- Ensure process stability and readiness for production changes and new model introductions.
- Manage change control relating to engineering changes ECRs, new models, process updates.
- Support costing activities for facilities, tooling, and equipment.
- Conduct audits quality, process, OHSE and ensure compliance with standards and requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Purchasing.
- Develop reports, process documentation, and performance tracking tools.
- Drive problem-solving initiatives and implement sustainable solutions to root causes.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- National Diploma or Degree in Engineering
- Qualified Toolmaker
Work Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years' technical / engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of production systems, processes, and layouts In-depth knowledge of production processes, layouts, production systems and shop facilities
- 3 years' experience / knowledge of a Tool Room, including tool design, tool layout, heavy press tools manufacture, patternmaking, machining, works preparation and try-out section
