  • Are you an experienced Project Planner with a strong background in mining and industrial construction projects? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading engineering and construction environment, working on complex projects across the mining, industrial, infrastructure and energy sectors.
  • We are looking for a highly organised Planner with expertise in SMPP Structural, Mechanical, Piping & Platework and Electrical & Instrumentation E&I planning to play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Prepare baseline programmes, look-ahead schedules and recovery plans.
  • Monitor project progress, identify schedule risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate planning activities across engineering, procurement, construction and project management teams.
  • Monitor critical paths, project float and resource utilisation.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, manpower histograms and schedule performance reports.
  • Assist with resource planning, forecasting and productivity monitoring.
  • Participate in project planning meetings and provide scheduling support.
  • Ensure planning activities comply with contractual requirements and company procedures.
  • Promote compliance with SHEQ standards across all project activities.

Minimum Requirements

  • National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related technical discipline.
  • 5–8 years' planning experience on mining, mineral processing, industrial or EPC/EPCM construction projects.
  • Proven experience planning SMPP and Electrical & Instrumentation construction activities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Critical Path Methodology CPM, resource loading, forecasting and project scheduling.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience preparing project reports, schedule analysis and forecasting.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Willingness to travel and work on remote project sites when required.
