Duties & Responsibilities

Objective of this role

Position requires a highly motivated and detail-driven Picker & Packer to join the warehouse team.

This position is suited to someone who is physically strong/capable and able to conduct various functions within the warehouse.  The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the smooth flow of warehouse processes from receiving to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Picking

- Pick customer orders accurately based on picking systems requirements.

- Ensure the correct quantity and product codes are picked.

- Report stock issues to your Supervisor / Manager so it can be investigated.

- Follow efficient picking routes and prioritisation as depicted by picking app.

- Housekeeping must be done while doing picking to ensure we maintain a clean and safe working environment for all.

- Handle stock with care to avoid damage.

- Order picking machines must be kept in clean condition at all times.

Packing

- Pack stock securely and appropriately to prevent damage during storage.

- Ensure items are segregated properly when you pack stock.

- Report damage of any stock items to your Supervisor / Manager while packing away.

General Warehouse Duties

- Assist with loading/unloading of containers / vehicles as might be required from time to time.

- Conduct routine stock checks and report shortages or discrepancies.

- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of picking and packing areas.

- Always comply with health and safety procedures.

-Comply with any other reasonable instructions given by superiors

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

- Grade 12 / Matric

- Previous warehouse, picking, or packing experience (advantageous).

- Ability to read and interpret pick slips, invoices, and labels.

- Physically fit and able to handle manual labour.

- Basic numerical and literacy skills.

- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
