Picker (Graduates)

Our client is seeking energetic, reliable and motivated graduates to join their operations team within the logistics, warehouse, supply chain and food services distribution environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is looking to build a long-term career within the logistics and distribution industry , gain practical operational experience and grow within the organisation.

Minimum Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Operations, Distribution, Food Services Management or a related field.
• Graduate or recently qualified candidate.
• Must be based in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) .
• Available to start immediately.
• Willing and able to work shifts , including weekends and public holidays where required.
• Must be physically fit and comfortable working in a freezer/cold-storage environment .
• Strong work ethic with a positive and energetic attitude.
• Reliable, punctual and committed.
• Willing to learn and take direction.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must demonstrate a genuine interest in developing a career within logistics, warehousing, supply chain or food distribution .

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and distribution environment.
• Main duties will be Picking stock
• Support receiving, picking, packing, dispatching and stock-handling activities.
• Assist with stock control and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Ensure products are handled, stored and dispatched according to company procedures.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Follow all health, safety and food-handling procedures.
• Work effectively within a shift-based operational team.
• Learn and develop an understanding of warehouse, logistics and distribution processes.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will be energetic, hands-on and eager to learn . They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment and understand that the role involves working in freezer conditions .
