PHP Developer (Laravel) – Remote

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced PHP Developer to join their growing development team. This is an exciting opportunity to work remotely while developing and enhancing modern, scalable web applications using the latest technologies.

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products. Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP and Laravel.

• Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces using Alpine.js, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise application performance.

• Collaborate with developers, designers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Maintain existing applications while delivering new features and enhancements.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' professional experience in PHP development.

• Strong commercial experience with Laravel.

• Experience working with Alpine.js.

• Solid JavaScript development skills.

• Experience with React.

• Strong HTML and CSS skills.

• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Good understanding of relational databases, particularly MySQL.

• Experience using Git version control.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Advantageous

• Experience with Tailwind CSS.

• Exposure to Docker and containerised development.

• CI/CD pipeline experience.

• Cloud platform experience (AWS or Azure).

• Experience working within Agile development teams.
