Contract Hybrid Opportunity in Northern Suburbs, Cape Town Our Client, a leading Financial Services Company requires an Intermediate PHP Developer Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain PHP-based applications. Design and implement RESTful APIs and system integrations. Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices. Work closely with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders. Ensure applications meet security, performance, and scalability requirements. Provide technical support and documentation where required.
Minimum Requirements 4+ years' experience in PHP development. Strong experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony. Solid understanding of MySQL and database design principles. Experience developing and consuming APIs. Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web development principles. Experience with Git and version control practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
