An exciting career opportunity exists at Medipost Pharmacy for a Pharmacist Intern. The purpose of the job is to master dispensing and technical skills, gaining essential clinical and medicinal knowledge by ensuring accurate capturing of chronic medication prescriptions in line with Medipost guidelines and clinical protocols. Duties & Responsibilities
Primary purpose of the job • Accurate capturing of new prescriptions, acute and/or chronic medication. • Handling of rejection lists (Resolve rejections and prioritize adding prescriptions to WIP) • Assisting in other departments when needed • To comply with SAPC requirements for completing Internship in 365 days. • HWSETA: Intern Group report and presentation • Assisting with Cold chain validation • Assisting with Operational Health and Safety • Understanding of the implications of making errors in a pharmacy environment • Adhering to the Pharmacist Intern Training Plan • Compliance with the POPI Act regulations • Attending to cluster and personal action diaries • Compliance to SLA requirements (completing of mailbox profiles, action diaries within required timelines, out of WIP notifications) • Attending to rejected prescriptions and templates from Blind checking as a priority • Compliance with Company Policies, Procedures and SOPs • Willingness to assist in annual stock take if requir
Desired Experience & Qualification
Grade 12 B.Pharm degree
