An exciting career opportunity exists at Medipost Pharmacy for a Pharmacist Intern. The purpose of the job is to master dispensing and technical skills, gaining essential clinical and medicinal knowledge by ensuring accurate capturing of chronic medication prescriptions in line with WC CDU guidelines and clinical protocols. Duties & Responsibilities
Primary purpose of the job · To ensure accurate capturing of chronic medication prescriptions in line with WC CDU guidelines and clinical protocols. · Identify any drug interactions or contraindications when capturing the prescription. · To accurately review a prescription in terms of Clinical and Technical guidelines and send to be rejected when necessary. · Adherence to good housekeeping practises. · Investigation and accurate reporting of dispensing errors. · System monitoring, quality of work evaluation, timeous escalation of possible problematic areas. · Time & attendance management according to Company Policies · Understanding of the WC CDU Penalty Matrix. · Perform any ad-hoc projects when necessary for the WC CDU Order Processing Department and the Group at large · Performance will be monitored in terms of daily Productivity and Quality targets. · Ensure daily resolution of Rejections, Reminders and Urgents. · Adherence to company SOP’s, policies and procedures. · Attend monthly departmental discussions with the Supervisor.
