Our client, a Private School located in the heart of Durban's Berea, requires a Personal Assistant to report to the College Principal/s, providing comprehensive secretarial, administrative and personal assistant support to the Principal/s and ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of their offices. Duties & Responsibilities

Key Duties

  • Schedule meetings & other appointments for the Principal/s.
  • Make accommodation & travel arrangements for the Principal/s.
  • Take minutes at daily meetings, and at certain evening meetings especially meetings of the Board of Governors and its sub-committees.
  • Prepare & distribute meeting minutes.
  • Correspondence & document management
  • Screen incoming telephone calls for the Principal/s.
  • Receive visitors on behalf of the Principal/s.
  • Receive & disseminate communications/emails from relevant bodies.
  • Assist with the organising of College projects & events as required by the Principal/s.
  • Data & survey administration

Requirements

  • A Matric / Grade 12 certificate
  • A secretarial, office administration or business-related qualification would be advantageous
  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in a Personal Assistant, secretarial or senior administrative role
  • Relevant experience in a school environment would be advantageous
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
