Job Title: Payroll Officers Start Date: 2026-07-03 - 2026-08-02 Vacancy Type: Contractor PE011650 Sectors: Finance Location: Gauteng , JHB - Eastern Suburbs Salary: Market Related Monthly Cost To Company (Market related) Brief: Job summary: Our client is seeking two experienced Payroll Officers to manage end-to-end payroll processing and administration. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution, maintaining payroll data integrity, supporting statutory compliance requirements, and providing payroll-related support to employees and stakeholders. The ideal candidates must have strong hands-on experience with SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP). Experience with SAP ECC Payroll will be highly advantageous. Responsibilities: Payroll processing: Execute end-to-end payroll processing for monthly payroll cycles. Validate payroll input data including new hires, terminations, salary changes, allowances, deductions, and benefits. Ensure payroll is processed accurately and within agreed timelines. Perform payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. SAP payroll administration: Administer and maintain employee payroll records within SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP). Support payroll configuration updates, testing, and system enhancements where required. Maintain payroll master data and ensure data accuracy and integrity. Generate payroll reports and management information as required. Compliance and reporting: Ensure compliance with all payroll-related legislation, company policies, and statutory requirements. Process statutory deductions including PAYE, UIF, SDL, pension, medical aid, and other applicable deductions. Prepare and reconcile payroll-related reports and submissions. Assist with internal and external audit requirements. Employee support: Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and management. Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and payment issues. Provide payroll guidance and support to stakeholders. Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and controls. Participate in payroll system testing, upgrades, and implementation projects. Contribute to payroll process documentation and standardisation initiatives. Qualifications: Matric (Grade 12). Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Payroll Administration, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 3–5 years' payroll administration experience. Strong hands-on experience with SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) (mandatory). Experience with SAP ECC Payroll. Experience processing payrolls in a medium to large organisation. Knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
