Our client is seeking a fully bilingual English and Afrikaans Paraplanner to provide end-to-end technical, compliance, and research support to a busy financial adviser.
Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis & Planning: Gather and analyze client financial information income, expenses, assets, liabilities, insurance, investments, and retirement provisions to draft comprehensive financial plans, cash flow models, and risk recommendations.
- Compliance & Documentation: Draft Records of Advice ROA and compliance documentation adhering strictly to FAIS/FSCA requirements and internal practice standards.
- Research & Product Comparison: Conduct product and fund research across various providers, obtaining quotes, policy documentation, and illustrations.
- Client Reviews & Admin Support: Prepare client review packs, assist with implementation, maintain CRM records, and support annual tax and provisional tax calculations.
Requirements
- Qualifications: CFP designation, or actively studying towards a CFP®, is required.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a paraplanning or financial advice support role within financial services. Strong foundation in investment, retirement, risk, and estate planning principles.
- Language Essential: 100% fluency in both Afrikaans and English written and spoken to effectively serve an established bilingual client base.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Office especially Excel, familiarity with financial planning software, and exposure to FAIS/FSCA compliance guidelines.
- Key Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong numerical/analytical capabilities, excellent report-writing skills, and the discretion needed to handle sensitive client data.
