Lead one of South Africa's premier stone fruit packing operations in the heart of Ceres. We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Packhouse Line Manager to oversee all packhouse operations during our fruit season. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume export environment and is passionate about operational excellence, quality, people development, and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in ensuring world-class packing standards, maximizing productivity, and delivering exceptional fruit to local and international markets while leading and inspiring a large workforce. Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will report to the Packing Manager and will be responsible for:
- Managing a production team of approximately 130 employees
- Ensuring the efficient setup and operation of the packing line
- Ensuring the accurate execution of packing instructions
- Managing product quality
- Monitoring, measuring, and maintaining accurate production records
- Maintaining the food safety management system
- Ensuring high standards of housekeeping and general cleanliness
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Expertise in South African agricultural compliance and export protocols (BRCGS, SIZA etc)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Computer literacy and proficiency in packhouse software and documentation systems
- Willingness to work hours as per industry and seasonal requirements
