Detail: Responsibilities Design, set up and optimise production lines to improve efficiency, throughput and reduce downtime Monitor production output, quality and efficiency, and drive corrective actions where required Develop and maintain production-line standards, SOPs and work instructions Manage preventative maintenance programmes and ensure machinery is maintained and operational Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical machinery faults Manage critical spares, equipment suppliers and service providers Identify and implement continuous improvement and process optimisation initiatives Lead, train and develop technical and production teams Ensure compliance with company health, safety, quality and food safety standards Maintain accurate maintenance and equipment records Requirements Relevant technical/engineering qualification or recognised trade Minimum 5 years' manufacturing/production experience Minimum 5 years' machinery maintenance experience Minimum 3 years' production-line design, optimisation or process improvement experience Minimum 2 years' people-management experience Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement is advantageous Good Excel and MS Office skills Strong written and verbal English communication skills Minimum C symbol for English in Matric Due to the high volume of applications received, only suitable candidates who meet the criteria of this vacancy will be contacted. show more...
