Start free — we apply for you →We have vacancies for qualified and experienced Crane & Hoist Technician and a Registered Lifting Machinery Inspector (L.M.I.) to join our Port Elizabeth and Southern Cape branches. This role is ideal for a motivated, hands-on individuals with strong technical ability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Minimum Requirements
• Matric (Grade 12) • Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal – Electrician or Millwright) • Registered L.M.I. registered with ECSA in multiple disciplines • Valid, unendorsed driver’s licence • Contactable references
Experience & Skills
• Proven experience working with overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment • Experience in inspection, maintenance, and load testing of lifting equipment • LMI Post - ECSA Registered multi-disciplined LMI + Trade qualifications. • Strong knowledge of:
• Electric motors and control gear • Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) • Electrical panel building and fault finding • Mechanical repairs on geared motors, brake assemblies and hoist repairs
• Good organisational and planning skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • High level of reliability, professionalism, and attention to safety
