- We're on the lookout for a Outside Operator KLB to safely and efficiently operate the equipment under his/her control, to ensure optimum production thereby reducing downtime.
As a Outside Operator KLB , you will be responsible for
- Start up, operate and monitor the plant in accordance with approved operating procedures and safe work practices.
- Perform regular visual inspections and outside plant checks , identifying, rectifying and reporting equipment deficiencies and abnormal conditions.
- Maintain constant communication with Process Controllers via radio to ensure effective coordination and safe plant operation.
- Perform plant isolations and prepare clearance certificates for maintenance activities in accordance with safe work procedures.
- Identify, communicate and mitigate operational and safety risks within the area of responsibility.
- Conduct quality and performance checks to ensure the plant operates within required standards and specifications.
- Initiate maintenance notifications to the relevant Maintenance Departments and follow up on identified equipment or plant-related deficiencies.
- Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping and operational compliance , including completing audits, checklists and required safety activities.
What are we looking for?
- Matric Grade 12 with Math's and Physical Science or an N3 in Pulp and Paper.
- 1-3 years relevant operational production experience.
