An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Outbound Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead warehouse, dispatch and distribution operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring on-time, in-full customer deliveries, maintaining stock integrity, optimising warehouse and transport operations, managing fleet performance and driving continuous improvement across the outbound supply chain. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management, logistics planning, inventory control and team leadership.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all outbound warehouse, dispatch and logistics operations
- Ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery performance across B2B and B2C customer channels
- Build, coach and develop a high-performing warehouse and dispatch team
- Maintain stock integrity through effective inventory management, cycle counts and stock reconciliation
- Optimise warehouse layout, storage capacity and operational efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with Good Warehouse Practices (FSSC 22000)
- Oversee outbound transport, route scheduling and third-party logistics providers
- Manage company fleet operations and transportation costs
- Lead warehouse management system (WMS), barcode scanning and dispatch software implementation and optimisation projects
- Manage forecasting and replenishment across internal and external warehouses
- Prepare and manage warehouse and logistics budgets
- Monitor warehouse KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with Sales, Production and Finance to ensure efficient order fulfilment and exceptional customer service
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related qualification
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Dispatch or Warehouse Management role with responsibility for warehouse management and inventory control
- Minimum 3 years' experience in route scheduling
- Minimum 3 years' experience managing budgets and operational costs
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management, dispatch operations and inventory control
- Computer literacy with good Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
