- Lead and oversee daily operations and service delivery within the resort environment
- Ensure consistently high standards of service, cleanliness, presentation and operational excellence
- Build and maintain strong, professional client relationships
- Manage and lead operational teams, ensuring effective staffing, scheduling and resource allocation
- Monitor service levels, KPIs, SLAs and overall operational performance
- Conduct regular operational inspections, audits and performance reviews
- Identify operational challenges and implement effective corrective and preventative actions
- Manage staff performance, disciplinary matters, training, development and team engagement
- Oversee workforce planning, attendance, productivity and wage control
- Monitor operational budgets, costs and resources to ensure cost-effective service delivery
- Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, health and safety legislation and operational standards
- Assist with operational reporting, forecasting and performance reviews
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve service delivery and strengthen client relationships
- Support operational changes, new initiatives and service transitions where required
- Work closely with senior management to achieve operational and financial objectives
What youll need
- Minimum 5 years experience in an Operations Management role
- Extensive hotel, hospitality and/or resort operations experience is essential
- Proven experience managing operations within a large hotel, resort, lodge or similar hospitality environment
- Strong understanding of hospitality service standards and guest/client expectations
- Proven experience managing large teams and multiple operational functions
- Strong leadership, people management and performance management capabilities
- Solid understanding of budgeting, wage control, resource planning and cost management
- Experience working with SLAs, KPIs, audits and operational reporting
- Strong client-facing and relationship management skills
- Good understanding of South African Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure hospitality environment
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, hands-on and solutions-driven management style
- Relevant management, hospitality or operations qualification.
- Valid driver's licence & own vehicle.
