Job Title: Operations Support Manager Start Date: 2026-07-07 - 2026-08-06 Vacancy Type: Permanent CPT003626 Sectors: Logistics, Warehouse & Freight Location: Gauteng , JHB - Southern Suburbs Salary: R 450000 - R 480000 Annually Cost To Company Brief: A well-established food manufacturing company based in Nasrec, Johannesburg is seeking an experienced and technically strong Operations Support Manager to join their team. This is a hands-on leadership role supporting the Site Manager in driving operational excellence, process optimisation, and continuous improvement across the production environment. Detail: Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising production systems and chemical processes to improve efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness. You will lead projects from concept through to commissioning, monitor daily production targets, manage vendors and contractors, and provide cross-functional support across all operations departments. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and optimise production workflows and chemical processes Lead project implementation from feasibility through to commissioning Monitor daily throughput and production targets across departments Manage vendors and contractors for technical compliance, cost control, and timely delivery Oversee system infrastructure development and drive continuous improvement initiatives Prepare technical reports, flow diagrams, cost estimates, and budgets for business review Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and operational troubleshooting What You Need Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or Chemical Engineering Minimum 5 years' experience in an operational management role Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations and processing environments Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask across departments Please note only shortlisted candidates will be contacted show more...
