Are you a commercially driven retail leader with a passion for operational excellence, team development, and delivering exceptional customer experiences?
Mr Price, is looking for an Operations Manager to lead and support a team of Area Managers across the region. In this role, you'll play a key part in driving operational performance, enabling store teams to succeed, and ensuring our stores consistently deliver on brand, service, and profitability.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and support a team of Area Managers to deliver strong operational performance across the region
Drive sales performance by ensuring forecasts are set, executed, and achieved
Manage regional budgets and controllable expenses to deliver profitability targets
Ensure stores deliver an exceptional and consistent customer experience aligned to the Mr Price brand
Oversee the implementation and compliance of store processes, standards, and operational controls across the region
Use store insights, customer feedback, and market analysis to identify opportunities and provide relevant feedback to buying and planning teams
Develop and empower regional support roles and store leadership teams through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
Communicate key performance indicators regularly, ensuring teams remain informed, focused, and aligned
Identify operational challenges and proactively implement cost-saving and efficiency improvements
Monitor stock availability and markdown performance across the region, ensuring stock is balanced to maximize sales opportunities
Ensure stores are optimally staffed to support service delivery, productivity, and cost efficiency

Qualifications

A tertiary qualification in Retail Management, Business Management, Commerce, Operations Management, or a related field is advantageous. Equivalent retail leadership experience will also be considered.
Proven experience in an Operations Manager or Area Manager role within a similar-sized retail environment
Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret data, identify opportunities, and make sound business decisions
A track record of leading teams to deliver results through coaching, development, and performance management
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the confidence to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement
Retail apparel experience will be highly advantageous
Willingness to travel regularly to stores within the region
