We manufacture and repair a wide range of canvas and PVC products, from caravan tents and trailer covers to tautliners, dam linings, swimming pool covers and outdoor roll-up blinds.
THIS IS NOT A DESK JOB
We need someone who can:
• Lead and manage a team of approximately 15–20 people
• Plan and control daily production
• Keep jobs moving and ensure deadlines are met
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality
• Coordinate factory work and on-site installations
• Visit sites for measurements and technical requirements
• Help develop solutions for unusual or difficult custom jobs
• Deal confidently with customers
• Follow up on quotations prepared by our office and close deals
• Control rework, material wastage and production efficiency
• Take ownership when something goes wrong and get it sorted
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You should be:
- A strong, practical leader
- Technically minded and good with measurements
- Experienced in manufacturing, fabrication or a similar environment
- Comfortable managing people on a factory floor
- Good with customers and able to close a sale
- Organised and able to manage multiple jobs at once
- A practical problem-solver
- Willing to get your hands dirty when necessary
- In possession of a valid driver's licence
- Able to communicate in English and Afrikaans
