Mologa River Lodge is seeking a hands-on Operations & Front of House Manager to take ownership of the lodge’s day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate combine strong hospitality with operational ability, financial awareness, staff leadership and a genuine sense of personal accountability.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily lodge operations, including reception, reservations, housekeeping and food and beverage.
- Ensure excellent guest service and resolve complaints professionally.
- Manage staff rostering, duties, performance and discipline.
- Conduct regular room and property inspections.
- Control stock, purchasing, suppliers, costs and wastage.
- Oversee cash-ups, POS transactions and basic financial controls.
- Manage staffing levels and labour costs.
- Resolve maintenance and operational issues promptly.
- Maintain operational procedures, checklists and standards.
- Provide ownership with accurate operational reports.
- Assist hands-on across all lodge departments when required.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum 3–5 years’ hospitality experience in a lodge, boutique hotel, guesthouse or similar environment.
- At least two years’ supervisory or management experience.
- Practical experience in front-of-house, reservations, housekeeping, and food and beverage operations.
- Experience in stock control, purchasing, cash-ups, POS systems and basic financial controls.
- Computer literacy, including Excel and reservation systems.
- Strong staff management and accountability skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends and public holidays.
