Operations Administrator – 6-Month Contract
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Operations Administrator to provide administrative and operational support to the Refinery Operations team on a 6-month maternity cover contract . Duties & Responsibilities
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment and has strong capabilities in administration, reporting, Excel, reconciliations and procurement processes .
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative and secretarial support to the Operations team and Operations Manager.
- Manage and reconcile overtime, travel and expense claims against attendance records.
- Create and manage purchase orders, service orders and blanket orders.
- Prepare monthly performance reports, operational statistics and KPI information.
- Maintain accurate employee, departmental and operational records.
- Coordinate PPE requirements for Operations employees.
- Assist with travel arrangements, meetings, presentations and general office administration.
- Manage stationery, office equipment and departmental documentation.
- Support the Operations team with day-to-day administrative and reporting requirements.
- Ensure information and records are maintained accurately and in accordance with departmental requirements.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be
- Highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable working with confidential employee and operational information.
- Strong in Microsoft Office , particularly Excel and PowerPoint .
- Numerically confident with good reporting and reconciliation skills.
- Experienced in processing claims, overtime and expense-related information.
- Familiar with procurement systems.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a busy operational environment.
- A strong communicator with the ability to work effectively with employees, managers and internal departments.
Experience within a manufacturing, refinery, engineering, mining, industrial or other operational environment would be highly advantageous.
This is a 6-month maternity cover position , with an ideal start date of 28 September 2026 , subject to the completion of the recruitment and interview process.
