- Basic R425 qualification diploma/degree in nursing that allows registration with SANC as Professional Nurse
- A post-basic qualification with duration at least 1 year in Advanced Midwifery and Neonatal Nursing Science R212 OR 4-year bachelor's degree in nursing R174 + postgraduate diploma R635 in Midwifery
- Registration with SANC as Professional Nurse
- A minimum of 9 years appropriate experience after registration as Professional Nurse
- At least 5 years must be appropriate experience in specialty after obtaining 1-year post-basic
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, shifts, public holidays
- Basic Computer literacy, knowledge of relevant legislation
- Ability to promote quality patient care through setting standards
DUTIES
- Managing, planning, co-ordinating and maintaining optimal specialised nursing in Obstetric setting
- Effective management and utilisation of human and financial resources
- Initiate and participate in training and research
- Provisioning of effective support to Head of Nursing Service
- Maintain professional growth/ethical standards
