Salary

  • R 720 819.00 - R 821 454.00 per annum

Requirements

  • Minimum educational qualification: Basic R425 qualification i.e. diploma/degree in nursing or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council SANC as a Professional Nurse. OR - A 4-year Bachelor Degree in Nursing R174 that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council SANC as a Professional Nurse.
  • Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse. Advanced Nursing qualification in Maternity and Neonatology. Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse plus post basic nursing qualification accredited with SANC.
  • A minimum of 9 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse. At least 5 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/ recognizable experience after obtaining the 1 year post basic qualification. Current registration with the South African Nursing Council SANC. Attach proof of working experience endorsed by Human Resource.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of key priority health programs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Core Standards and Ideal Clinic realization program.
  • Strong management and leadership skills. Computer literacy.

Duties

  • Overall supervision of staff and control quality patient care in the facility.
  • Ensure formulation and availability of Clinical Patient Care Protocol and Policies in the department.
  • Ensure efficient implementation and evaluation of quality Primary Health Care Package.
  • Accountable for overall and effective management of Quality Nursing Services.
  • Responsible for implementation of the disciplinary measures.
