Our client is an established technology organisation delivering enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will own our private cloud stack end-to-end—focusing on virtualization performance, storage resilience, and process automation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Engineer and support robust OpenStack and Linux virtualization clusters.
- Keep distributed storage layers healthy, performant, and capacity-optimized.
- Troubleshoot multi-tier issues across compute nodes, virtual networks, and guest workloads.
- Automate manual operational routines using code and modern configuration tooling.
- Execute seamless system migrations, hardware rollouts, and rolling updates.
- Maintain technical documentation and define platform operational benchmarks.
- Join the engineering rotation for system monitoring, performance tuning, and incident resolution.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Hands-on experience supporting production open-source cloud platforms.
- Advanced Linux troubleshooting and performance analysis capabilities.
- Exposure to distributed storage management (Ceph or equivalent SDS technologies).
- Deep understanding of core networking, virtualization layers, and server hardware.
- Working knowledge of automation/scripting tools (Python, Bash, or modern automation frameworks).
- Excellent communication skills with a track record of cross-functional technical collaboration.
