Key Responsibilities • Assist with the preparation and serving of meals for patients and staff. • Assist with food portioning and presentation. • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas. • Wash and sanitise kitchen utensils, equipment and work surfaces. • Assist with receiving, storing and rotating food stock. • Monitor food items and report shortages or expired/damaged stock. • Follow food safety, infection prevention and occupational health and safety requirements. • Assist with general kitchen duties as required. • Support the kitchen team in maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Knowledge of basic food hygiene and safety practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a healthcare environment.
- Reliable, punctual and well presented.
- Physically able to perform routine kitchen duties.
- A caring and respectful attitude towards patients and staff.
