Job Description

  • Mathematics and Physical Science Grade 10-12

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Education BEd Degree or PGCE in related field.
  • 5+ years teaching experience in the FET Phase, with a minimum of 3 years teaching Grade 12.
  • SACE registered.
  • Extensive subject knowledge and good teaching and assessment skills.
  • Experience with online teaching will be advantageous.
  • Computer literacy essential: MS suite, Google Chrome.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English.

DUTIES

  • Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the CAPS curriculum.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, interactive online lessons.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide interventions where needed.
  • Conduct extra classes, masterclasses, and virtual sessions with learners and guardians.
  • Mark assessments and track learner performance.
  • Mark and moderate SBA components, analyze learner performance trends, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in the creation and delivery of formal assessments and subject-related sessions.
  • Promote learner well-being and provide appropriate educational guidance.
  • Manage daily admin, including attendance, marks, and parent communication.
  • Provide reports and feedback on learner progress.
  • Participate in staff meetings and curriculum planning.
  • Ensure efficient communication with learners, parents, and internal teams.
  • Research and implement innovative teaching strategies and technologies.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and knowledge sharing.
