Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor assessment activity
- Monitor students during the assessment where the assessment format requires active invigilation.
- Identify unusual or potentially irregular behaviour, such as unauthorised collaboration, use of prohibited resources, or suspicious activity.
- Ensure that monitoring is conducted consistently and objectively.
Technical support and escalation
- Assist students with basic technical issues relating to the assessment platform.
- Record technical incidents affecting students' ability to complete the assessment.
- Escalate serious or unresolved technical problems to the appropriate academic/IT/assessment team
Incident management
- Record assessment incidents accurately, including the student, time, nature of the incident and action taken.
- Preserve relevant evidence, such as system logs, screenshots or monitoring records, where permitted.
- Escalate incidents according to the applicable assessment policy.
Time and submission control
- Monitor assessment/student start and end times.
- Ensure students receive the correct allocated duration.
- Confirm that submissions are successfully recorded where the platform allows this.
- Escalate missing, failed or interrupted submissions.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Grade 12, a Higher Certificate NQF Level 5 will be advantageous.
Minimum Work Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years invigilation experience
Working Conditions
- Please note that this is an Independent Contractor role
- Eligible for work from Home
- Personal working devices such as laptop and headphones would be advantageous.
