Start free — we apply for you →- A vacancy exists for a permanent contract Occupational Health Nurse reporting to Unit Manager, based at the Black Rock Life Occupational Health clinic in the Northern Cape. The successful Unit Manager a multidisciplinary team and exceeds customer's expectation and requirements in the Clinic in the Northern Cape.
Critical Outputs
- Management experience to manage the overall Contract with the Client and Audits.
- Development of an Occupational Health program and the improvement on the existing programme
- Occupational Health Service, to establish the physical, psychological and social wellbeing of the worker in a safe working environment.
- Monitoring the health status of employees through on-going surveillance programmes.
- Providing information to the onsite Client that could be utilized to eliminate, control and minimize health risks and hazards to which the employees are, or may be exposed.
- Working effectively within a budget Meeting administration needs timeously.
- Meeting the prescribed professional and quality standards of both Life Occupational Health and the client.
- Leading sub ordinates and inspiring them in the right direction.
- Co coordinating the clinic management.
- Co coordinating the Emergency Services on site.
Requirements The following qualifications are required and critical
- Computer literacy Microsoft Office Medical database experience advantageous & own transport is essential.
- Experience on COID act reporting and administration
- Candidates who result orientated, good communication skills, have initiative and the ability to deliver quality outputs and reduce costs, will be most suitable for this position.
- Knowledge regarding Occupational Health in Mining will be an advantage.
- Customer orientation, focus and teamwork complete the profile.
- Nursing Diploma or Degree qualified as a Registered Nurse. registration with SANC
- The candidate needs to hold a Diploma / BTech degree in Occupational Health. Must appear on current SANC receipt.

- Audiogram Registered as an audiometric at SASOHN.

- Valid driver's licenses
- Minimum of 3 years' experience post-graduation mining environment.
