- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. Qualification that allows registration with South African Nursing Council SANC as a Nursing Assistant. Current registration 2026 with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
- Grade 1: Less than 3 years appropriate /recognized nursing experience after registration with SANC as Enrolled Nurse.
- Grade 2: 10 years or more, but less than 13 years appropriate /recognized experience with the SANC as Nursing Assistant.
- Grade 3: 20 years' or more, but less than 23 years', appropriate/recognisable experience after registration with the SANC as Nursing Assistant.
- Knowledge of nursing care processes and procedures, nursing statutes, National Core Standards and other relevant legal frameworks such as Nursing Act, OHS Act, Patient's Rights Charter, Responsibilities, Batho-Pele principles, Public Service regulations, Labour Relations Act, Disciplinary Code and Procedure, Grievance Procedure etc.
Duties
- Successful candidates will be assisting patients with the activities of daily living physical care. Provide elementary clinical nursing care. Effective utilization of resource. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development.
