About the YES Initiative: The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa's youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months. Position: NOC Operator Stipend: R7000.00 Location: Lonehill (Sandton) Detail: Responsibilities System Monitoring & Response: Continuously monitor network systems, weighbridges, security systems, and IT infrastructure through Zabbix and Company's cloud site status dashboards Acknowledge and document system alerts within 2-minute response target Follow standard operating procedures for incident identification and classification Log incidents accurately using prescribed templates and ticketing systems Document all communication related to the request/incident on ticket Escalate issues to Intermediate operators according to established protocols Field Service Technicians Tir 2 Technical Operators Tier 3/Development team Basic Technical Support: Provide Level 1 technical support following step-by-step troubleshooting guides Perform routine system health checks and status verification Assist with basic connectivity and access issues Document all actions taken during incident response Provide remote guidance to on-site personnel for simple issues Documentation and Communicaion: Maintain accurate shift logs, incident reports, and monitoring records Participate in structured shift handovers to ensure operational continuity Communicate status updates using standard communication formats Follow established communication protocols during incident escalation Minimum Requirements South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34. Must not have participated on the YES programme before. Matric.
