Start free — we apply for you →Job Title: NOC Engineer - Voice (ISP) Start Date: 2026-08-17 - 2026-09-16 Vacancy Type: Contractor JHB007292 Sectors: Information Technology Location: Gauteng , JHB - Northern Suburbs Salary: Brief: Our ISP client in Johannesburg is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Voice NOC Engineer (Level 2) to join their Network Operations Centre team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a candidate with a passion for VoIP, Hosted PBX, SIP, and voice services who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues and delivering exceptional customer support. As a Voice NOC Engineer, you will be working on a rotational standby roster and will be responsible for monitoring and supporting voice platforms, investigating and resolving VoIP-related incidents, managing customer tickets, coordinating escalations, and ensuring services are restored within SLA targets. You will work closely with customers, technicians, vendors, and internal teams to maintain service availability and deliver a best-in-class customer experience. Detail: Requirements, Qualifications and Experience Must be willing to work standby based on a rotational roster Hybrid working model (Monday, Wednesday and Friday in office - Bryanston) Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent. A+, N+, VPBX, VoIP, CFOT, or related telecommunications certifications will be advantageous. Experience supporting VoIP, SIP, Hosted PBX, or telecommunications environments Experience within a NOC, Service Desk, ISP, Telecoms, or Managed Services environment preferred. Exposure to voice troubleshooting, call routing, SIP trunks, and hosted voice platforms. Experience with customer-facing technical support. Key Responsibilities Ticket Tracking Regular feedback to Clients Dispatching Technicians First line Checks Drive MTTR within SLA Network Monitoring Escalation coordination Troubleshoot and resolve Incidents reported Isolate Issues – VoIP, Data and Layer1 transport Support Voice, Connectivity and Wireless technologies Respond to customer requests and provide timely communication as defined by customer's policies. Troubleshoot/configure Cisco, Ciena, Mikrotik, VOIP, Hosted PBX, SIP, and PRI. Hardware support troubleshooting and configuration on Client and network interface devices, Layer 2&3 switches, firewalls, routers, microwave radios, voice, VoIP, SIP, PRI and hosted voice services Incident Reporting and troubleshooting with Vendors Network Monitoring, Troubleshooting and Internal/Vendor Escalations show more...
