• Oversee warehouse operations, site security and risk management activities during the night shift to ensure a safe, secure and well-controlled operational environment. • Monitor loading and offloading activities to minimise stock losses, theft and damage. • Identify, investigate and report suspicious activity, pilferage and potential security risks. • Monitor damaged stock and ensure adherence to quality control procedures. • Identify operational vulnerabilities and escalate concerns to the relevant stakeholders. • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with operational and security procedures. • Oversee access control procedures, including personnel and vehicle access. • Monitor CCTV and surveillance systems to identify and respond to potential security breaches. • Conduct routine inspections of the facility to ensure perimeter security and operational compliance. • Supervise on-site security personnel and ensure patrols, incident reporting and security procedures are effectively carried out. • Conduct preliminary investigations into security incidents, losses and operational irregularities. • Gather relevant information, document findings and maintain accurate records of incidents. • Prepare detailed shift reports outlining incidents, investigations, identified risks and operational observations. • Communicate key findings and recommendations to management to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement. Requirements:
- Previous experience within a security, risk, or warehouse environment, preferably within a retail distribution centre.
- PSIRA Grade C certification will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of CCTV surveillance systems and security procedures.
- Willingness and ability to work permanent night shifts (Monday to Friday).
